Why Handcrafted?
Why handcrafted? “Good work proceeding from the whole man, heart, head, and hand, in proper balance” Clearly something was lacking that mechanized labour did not supply. I have often called it the heartbeat in work. Enthusiasm and play of imagination...it is the degree of life force canalized into a craft. The degree; the purity; the intensity. Handcraftmanship, if it be alive, justifies itself at any time as an intimate expression of the spirit of man. Such work is an end in itself and a means to an end. Hi Evelyn,
Love your work! My hands are itching to play with metal today....thanks for the inspiration. I especially love ..well all of them. but the journaling piece about your mom touched my heart, I have just the picture of my mom to use...I think I may give it a try in the future. The leaf necklace has so much movement ...love it....
