Narrative Jewelry

I make narrative jewelry from my old family photos. This pendant is made from an old photo of my mother. I remember when I was around 7 or 8 years old she would get all dressed up to go downtown. She would take the bus and when she came back she would usually bring me some kind of treat, like Nik-L-Nips (the juice in a wax bottle) or little candy ice cream cones. I copied the picture on to Shrinky Dinks and colored the faces, then attached then to an enameled piece of copper. On the copper links I stamped a shorter version of this story.

Thank you so much for introducing yourself on my thread in the forums. It's so nice to meet you! I love the way you incorporated your mother's photo.

Cool process. I have yet to try out my shrinky plastic. Any hints?

I'd recommend using actual Shrinky dink brand. It's the best!
